This is definitely true…except that sometimes things do provide lasting happiness. For instance, a pretty new dress. Sure, after so long it’ll get ruined and you’ll probablyy get rid of it, but that’s okay. Because you wore it once and you felt like the prettiest girl in the world. And that’s also an experience you’ll have forever. And when you’re 85 and look at a picture of yourself in that dress, you’ll remember the feeling.
