When leaving the house, Simpson left on the air-conditioning for her dog.
Friends worry about Jessica Simpson’s ‘tailspin’ - CNN.com
Is this weird and a sign that you pamper your pet? I feel guilty when I leave my dog home on a hot day without AC. In fact, it seems almost cruel to me to leave your dog in a hot, stuffy house…

I had the EXACT same thought when I read that article. I thought spoiling your dog meant buying them $200 sweaters…not making sure they don’t die of heat stroke.
thoughts on: ironing
it can be so ridiculous. sure, iron your shirts and your nice trousers. but sheets? pillowcases? why the fuck do pillowcases need to be ironed? there are so much better things to do with your time. i could volunteer, read a good book, sleep.
fuck ironing.
I jump in with my head, and jump out with my heart.
I realize that the other day. I make choices, decisions based on logic in my head. My choices are completely rational and thought out. But then, sooner or later, my heart starts speaking in tongues. I don’t know what it’s saying, but I understand the tone. It screams, “You’ve made a mistake. Abandon ship.” I jump out with my heart.
10x03 TOW Ross’s Tan
Ross: I went to that tanning place your wife suggested.
Chandler: Was that place… The Sun?
Ross: Oh! And it gets worse!
Chandler: Oh My God! You can do a duet of Ebony and Ivory all by yourself!

This is definitely true…except that sometimes things do provide lasting happiness. For instance, a pretty new dress. Sure, after so long it’ll get ruined and you’ll probablyy get rid of it, but that’s okay. Because you wore it once and you felt like the prettiest girl in the world. And that’s also an experience you’ll have forever. And when you’re 85 and look at a picture of yourself in that dress, you’ll remember the feeling.
